Shawn connolly

Shawn Connolly is the co-founder of the San Francisco Skate Club, a platform that strives to provide a safe, positive, and fun environment for youth of diverse backgrounds to pursue their passion or desire to skateboard, meet and form friendships with other young skaters, and learn from experienced skateboarders who are role models in the community.

With the chosen fonts and color palette, I strived to maintain an aesthetic that conveyed a youthful energy and was expressive of the San Francisco skate scene.

It was very important to make the kids the true stars for this editorial. Every photo that was chosen had to showcase the environment and their activities.

Positivity and optimism was also a major inspiration behind this editorial. The energy was kept throughout the pages to be symbolic of those emotions.
